Step inside innovation. The Open House invites students to experience MIRDC up close, explore advanced facilities, discover emerging technologies, and interact with experts in the field. It is an inspiring opportunity to see how classroom knowledge transforms into real-world engineering solutions.
The Open House will accommodate students and companies within the metals and engineering sector and provide an overview of what to expect during the event. Participants may also be allowed to observe actual operations within MIRDC facilities, including demonstrations or actual machine usage, to better understand the processes involved.

MTSC Facilities
Mold Technology Support Center
The Mold Technology Support Center (MTSC) is a specialized facility that provides advanced tooling support, precision mold development, and technical services to enhance the competitiveness of the manufacturing industry. The Open House Tour will be conducted over two days, with sessions scheduled in the morning (AM) and afternoon (PM).
MTSC Building (8:30AM-11:00AM and 12:30PM-3:00PM)
Visitors can expect a world-class industrial hub offering hands-on training with advanced CNC and molding machinery alongside expert consultancy to boost global competitiveness.
CAD/CAM Room (9:00AM and 1:00PM)
A modern, fully-equipped CAD/CAM laboratory where visitors can expect immersive, technology-driven training in precision mold design and computer-aided manufacturing.
CNC Room (9:20AM and 1:20PM)
A state-of-the-art machining floor featuring precision CNC milling and grinding equipment for high-accuracy metal fabrication and mold making.
QA Room (9:40AM and 1:40PM)
A high-precision metrology lab equipped with a Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) and advanced microscopy for rigorous quality assurance and dimensional inspection of molds.
Mold Assembly Area (10:00AM and 2:00PM)
A specialized industrial workspace dedicated to the meticulous manual assembly, fitment, and final fine-tuning of precision mold components.
Injection Machine Area (10:20AM and 2:20PM)
A heavy-duty production floor equipped with industrial-grade plastic injection molding machines and overhead cranes for high-volume part manufacturing and mold testing.
