In his journey toward becoming a successful technopreneur, Engr. Gamaliel F. Itao has not only achieved personal success but also made significant contributions to the metals and engineering (M&E) industry. One of his key advocacies is the development and training of highly skilled automation (mechatronics) engineers and specialists. By emphasizing the importance of nurturing such talent, he continues to play a crucial role in advancing the industry and its technological capabilities.

With confidence in the capable hands of the second generation of his family, Engr. Itao expressed his aspirations for early retirement. He reiterated his gratitude to the Lord, attributing all the success they have achieved in their business to His divine blessings, stating “The blessing of the Lord brings richness, no other effort can replace it.”

Currently, Engr. Itao serves as an esteemed member of the Commission on Higher Education's Technical Committee for Engineering Technology. He also actively engages with MRSP, taking a proactive role in mentoring association officers and members.
Gaining the utmost respect and admiration from fellow members is not without reason, as Engr. Itao holds the prestigious distinction of being the first Certified Mechatronics and Automation Engineer awarded by the MRSP. Additionally, the Institute of Integrated Electrical Engineers (IIEE) also recognized Engr. Itao as Outstanding Electrical Engineer for two consecutive years (2014-2015).
With his recent milestone achievement, being certified as an accredited competency assessor for Mechatronics Servicing NC III and NC IV by TESDA, he demonstrates his advocacy for uplifting the qualifications of experts within the field. He uses his expertise to develop upskilling training programs that are prerequisites for certification in mechatronics and automation engineer/specialist.
Engr. Itao strongly encourages the metals and engineering industry to embrace new technologies and maintain an open mind toward innovation. He firmly believes that a seamless transition and adoption of technological advancements can be achieved through continuous training and upskilling for higher qualifications.
He recognizes the dynamic nature of the industry and the need to stay updated with the latest technologies to remain competitive. By nurturing a culture of continuous learning and investing in the professional development of individuals, he envisions a future where the industry thrives and successfully integrates advanced technologies to drive growth and efficiency.
